Gia Bialoglowka:
Connecting with Nature

Part of my job is to facilitate field trips for first grade and preschoolers  and what I’ll do is I’ll take them to the garden and we’ll have them sniff the flowers and identify things that they  find interesting. We try to involve their senses so that they can smell and touch and dig things up so naturally. I’ve always really loved being outside and working with nature and so I’m very grateful that I finally  found a career that feels really fulfilling for me because nothing really makes me happier than having kids get excited about things that I’m excited about. Growing up in a city has been disorienting in terms of my connection with nature and so finding ways that I can help other kids connect to Nature has been the most fulfilling work that I’ve done so far.
