Poland Spotlight

Based in Warsaw and northeastern Poland, this is an intense two-week international course in which students work with faculty at Warsaw University and workshop leaders at the polish NGO, the borderland foundation, learning and exploring how the art and media-centered reporting can be used to engage local communities to generate positive change at a local, municipal and even national level. Miron Golfman

Miron Golfman is the office's go-to for Outdoor Education and Sustainability. His passion lies at the intersection of outdoor education and social justice. When Miron is not in the wilderness you will likely find him spending quality time with quality people, sharing good conversations, laughter, food, and storytelling with others. Program Coordinator

Elizabeth Harley, MPA

Elizabeth Harley coordinates the day to day operations and administrative responsibilities of the office. In addition, she also manages all the logistics of the office’s travel programs. Elizabeth is a double alumnus from the Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. She has a passion for social justice, sustainability, and criminal justice reform and aims to further her education in the future.

Be The Light

In Spring Break 2018, Rutgers University–Newark’s (RU-N) International Leadership Exchange (ILE) Global Scholars traveled to Puerto Rico with the multimedia icon, executive producer and host, Angie Martinez to help to deploy We Share Solar suitcases in multi-purpose community help centers and a cancer care center in Puerto Rico.

Ngĩma Wambugu

The International Leadership Exchange (ILE) Alumni, Ngĩma Wambugu, traveled as an undergraduate and graduate student to India Puerto Rico and Tanzania to provide solar energy to underserved communities while learning about public administration through engaged interactions. Being a leader and talented individual she balances studying along with hosting her very own radio show called Share Some Mo'.
