I am a recent PhD graduate class of 2023 from the school of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University Newark. I’m originally from Bangladesh and was raised in New York City. I started my doctoral program in 2017 at the school of Criminal Justice and one day out of the blue I received an email about the graduate coordinator position so I thought to myself why not give it a shot. I was reached out by Professor Clayton Walton who asked me to come in so that he can answer some of the questions I had regarding affording study abroad. To my surprise he had set me up for an interview and I said of course the answer is always yes so I did my best and it was the start of my professional career.
